The Bookstore That Isn’t

Interesting story about the reinvented Glad Day Bookshop on CBC.ca. It’s all about the diversity of the clientele, nothing about the books, which makes sense as there aren’t very many. In fact, you wonder why they bother to call it a bookstore at all. These days the store is much like the public library, an off-label Starbucks where people do what they do everywhere else in the city, drink coffee and stare at their laptops.
